The Legendary poet Padam Dev Singh Nirdosh
Nirdosh was born on April 13, 1940, in the Akhnoor Tehsil's Royal Kaleeth fort. Everybody admires Nirdosh because he was a versatile writer who gave the Dogri literature new perspectives.
Even though his poems and lyrics in Dogri gained the hearts of the people, the lyric "Ballen-Ballen Bag Haan Chanah Deya Paniya" continues to be a favourite among rural populations and many other poems.
Many people still remember that Padam Dev Singh "Nirdosh"'s passing left a hole in the modern Dogri literary landscape because he was one of the most well-known poets who contributed new elements to the genre by evoking an odd sense of nostalgia. His tunes, such as
He lived and died in Akhnoor, where the songs "Ballen Ballen Bag Haan, Chanah Deya Paniya", "Tunde Garan De Lok", and "Ikke Bari Gallan Nei Sanande Sariyan" had become commonplace.
In contrast to Ved Pal "Deep," another eminent author of Dogri literature, Nirdosh shaped the ghazal genre in his distinctive and native style, placing it fittingly in a rural location bordered by the Chenab. He recently demonstrated a propensity for writing long poems, of which "Basta" quickly gained notoriety.
